Reversible Data Hiding Using an Improved Pixel Value Ordering and Complementary Strategy

Reversible data hiding (RDH) schemes based on pixel value ordering have gained significant popularity due to their unique capability of providing high-quality marked images with a decent embedding capacity, while also enabling secret information extraction and the lossless recovery original at receiving side. However, image quality may be distorted severely when (PVO) method is employed in layer-wise manner increase capacity. In this paper, new high-capacity RDH scheme using complementary strategy introduced overcome limitation case embedding. The proposed first divides cover into non-overlapping blocks 2 × pixels uniformly then sorts each block according intensity values. are embedded two layers. layer, minimum decreased maximum increased by either 1 or embed bits. second layer used as complement symmetry layer. increases valued decreases order minimize distortion resulting from an additional amount data. As result, significantly which clearly evident conducted experimental results.
